1. Not Taking Responsibility

It’s easy to assume the role of the victim who is unable to lack and attribute the lack of change to your powerless position.

One of the first steps to eliminating roadblocks on your healing journey is recognizing the fact most of the times you are not forced to be the victim. You might choose to be the victim because it’s convenient.

You have actively participated in shaping your current reality, which means you also can redesign your life map. The sooner you own responsibility for your actions, the faster you can clear the paths in your self-healing journey.

  • How to defeat this obstacle: Practice forgiveness and self-love. Accept having ownership over your life; own your choices, as well as your mistakes.

2. Negative Beliefs

Self-limiting thoughts are incredibly destructive to self-healing. Anxiety, guilt, doubt, blame and other distortions which derive from them all place a message in the Universe saying you are not worthy.

Thoughts lead to emotions. Emotions lead to actions, which ultimately lead to outcomes. So, it all starts in your mind.

Your life now is a manifestation of your thoughts. This means you have control over it and you can choose to activate your self-healing potential by eliminating the negativity blocking your healing.

3. Not Living in the Moment

Ever feel like you’re just floating on auto-pilot, doing the same things, thinking the same thoughts over and over again? It’s a result of us not living in the moment and programming our lives based on an endless list of “to-dos.”

We’re so focused on doing that we often forget how to experience the present.

But how does this impact your self-healing journey? Well, you have to remember energy flows towards what you focus on.

When you live your life on auto-pilot, you distance yourself from your true self where the self-healing potential resides. In other words, you become absent from your own life.

  • How to defeat this obstacle: Practice visualization. When you begin to feel disconnected, take five minutes to look at your surroundings. Acknowledging them being there. Then look at your hands and focus on the abundance of life and energy flowing within you. Lastly, take a deep breath.
